RESULTS HIGHLIGHTS
SEO growth period: April 24th, 2020 - June 24th, 2020
Pageviews increased 124%.
Search traffic (i.e organic traffic from keywords) increased 343%.
Keyword Clicks (the number of clicks a site got from searches for a certain keyword) grew from 1 per month to 197 per month.
Keyword Impressions (the number of people that saw the site in search results for a certain keyword, even if they didn’t click the link) grew from 786 per month to 10.5K per month, a 1236% increase.
Keyword Click Rate (the percentage of impressions for a keyword that led to a click to go to the site) increased from .13 to 1.87, a 1338% increase.
Keyword Average Position (the site’s average position in search results for all related keywords) improved from 46.92 to 43.35.
First page Google search ranking for every keyword targeted.
Brightbar Boston is a Boston-based spray tan company providing natural tans and UV free glow! Our client Alex approached us for our Initial SEO Service for her site. We targeted keywords related to tanning in the Boston area, specifically interested in Spray Tan Boston.
We are now two months post optimization and Brightbar Boston is experiencing major growth with traffic and keywords! From the end of April when we first completed her SEO to the end of June (2 months worth of natural rankings her traffic has more than doubled, going from 1,138 to 2,551 pageviews.
Below are images of the analytics tracking the growth from the month prior to optimization (March to April) and for two month after optimization.
Analytics from Squarespace also tell us that the number of visitors coming from organic searches is increasing. The “Search” section below tracks visitors who find the site through Google searches, as opposed to other sources such as social media traffic or referrals. Before SEO, only 96 visitors came from Search traffic. One month post optimization, that number had grown to 223, and two months post optimization that number had doubled again to 425.
Another place to look for SEO growth indicators would be Clicks, Impressions, and Click Rate for keywords.
Compared to our baseline month, Brightbar’s clicks grew from 1 to 197, her impressions grew from 786 to 10.5K, and her click rate increased 1.74% in two months. Her average position improved from 46.92 to 43.35 in just a short time as well, and it will only continue to grow. These results are only two months post optimization, whereas SEO results normally come into full effect at the 4-6 month mark. we will be sure to revisit this client to continue to see powerful SEO results to get the complete data over time!
Last but not least, using an Incognito Google browser (so that cookies and search history bias don’t affect the results) we can see that Alex’s website is currently ranking at the top for her two main keywords, Boston Spray Tan and Spray Tan Boston.
She ranks on the first page of Google for every single keyword we targeted in our optimization as well.
